I was very excited to get these as they fit my criteria in that they were very solid and would fit on your rucksack or keys. The only problem is they don’t point North even after giving them way more attempts a rational person would give. I haven’t sent them back because it always feels a hassle but honestly unless I have been unlucky with two O wouldn’t buy again for £17. Really a shame.

Durable … BUT not accurate. Not reliable for outdoors navigation.
Pros:1- This compass is made of durable material. It is heavy and is of medium size, so you can read the directions clearly. With its durable material, I expected it to last for a long time.2- You can attach it to your keychain or a pack back.Cons:1- The big issue about this compass is its accuracy. It gives the wrong directions sometimes. You need to shake it a little bit so the indicators move in the correct direction. I tested it several times, and it did not give accurate directions and readings every time. So, I personally will not rely on this compass for outdoor navigation. I even tested and compared it with a more accurate compass on my iPhone (see the two attached pictures), and every time, the compass gave different results (right or wrong directions). I have to shake it to correct its direction.

Bulky and seems to point to a different north as you tilt it
Had a great compass on my keyring that I got from Amazon years ago. But it recently broke so needed a replacement. Apparently, it’s no longer available and all the alternatives are fairly terrible.Eventually found this so decided it was the closest thing. It’s definitely more bulky than the one I used to have and the display is less easy to read. But most importantly, it doesn’t seem to point north. It has a little bubble that goes to different points in the compass depending on how you hold it, and north doesn’t seem to any correlation to how the bubble moves so north just slowly rotates around as the bubble moves, despite north obviously being a fixed point.
