Excellent landline phones but for peace of mind change default settings
Excellent landline phones. Sound quality is average but one gets used to it. Three tips that I would like to pass on. 1. “Out of the box” the phones “chirp” when being used. For example if you are phoning the last person on the phone directory you (or anyone near you) will endure 50 chirps. For piece of mind mute these chirps. 2. As a selling point it is stated that when the phone is on its stand, picking up the phone will allow immediate connection. The problem with this is is soon as you pick up the phone you do not know who is ringing. Again change the default to ensure that you have to press the answer button once the phone is picked up. 3. The phone directory holds 50 numbers. These are stored in alphabetical order. This causes problems if you main contact is, say, called Zac. My solution is to determine your major users and give them a number before their name. Start with 01. Thus if your major contact is called Mary assign the name as 01 Mary. Thus Mary will be first on the directory list. The instructions that come with the phones are not comprehensive and do not explain how to change defaults. Read the online instructions which are also on the Amazon site from where the phones were purchased as these are more comprehensive.
