Visually good, audio now working, need to make phone calls audible..
I wrote the review below and then tried out a couple of things – turning the volume up on my iphone once apps were activated on the carplay unit made music audible – phone calls still being received but inaudible – I’ve re-rated at 4 stars – Aileway contacted me and offered a refund, so extra star for the volume working on some apps and the fact they read and respond to reviews. I’ve not yet accepted the refund and am optimistic that they can talk me through the issues, which I think are likely to be set up problems, not problems with the unit. Original review below:-I bought this unit as an experiment, having been disappointed with the brightness of iphone screens in sunlight. It does carplay very well, is a little fiddly to join to my Senna 10s with bluetooth and is frankly just too quiet to be heard over wind and engine noise on my bike. It gets 3 stars because the screen is clear and easily visible in summer sun. The screen also works without glitches when it rains. It loses 2 stars because the screws on the housing are prone to rust, and even on maximum, the audio output over bluetooth is too quiet. Not bad value, but would be better if you could hear turn by turn instructions!!

Excellent product. Good quality. Had a small problem with the mount so reached out and in less than 10 days a replacement mount arrived. Very impressed with the communication and the good responsive customer service. Recommended.

Simple to use screen for my motorcycle
This device has made my ride much better because the size of it is just right, it is not too big to get distracted while I ride but at the same time large enough to easily see the maps and other features that I am using. The screen is bright because when there is a lot of sun I can see properly and in the evening when it is getting dark I prefer to reduce the luminosity at the minimum so I can focus better on the road. The thing that I like the most about it is that I can easily connect my iphone without having to use any cables. Another great thing is that every time I start my bike my phone automatically pairs with this unit and this saves a lot of time because I don’t have to repeat the process every time. The unit is waterproof and even when I get caught in a lot of rain it still performs perfectly. Another cool feature is the dual bluetooth which means that I can connect not only one device. The touch screen is responsive and easy to use and I can even operate it with the gloves which is great because I don’t have to remove them all the time when I have to press on the screen. The touch screen is responsive even when it is wet so for now this product performs really well.

Relies on your phone connection.
Beware. This unit does not have internal maps, instead relying on Apple and Google car play so may as use your phone. Unit looks good and is responsive but not what I wanted hence my return.

Clear bright display
I actually got this for my car. The reason being most CarPlay devices are too big and with a VW UP! Which already has a display I could mount this lower.It obviously comes with path brackets required to mount to a bike but with a little adaptation these can work in a car.I noticed behind a plate on the side (remove three screws) that the original USB C connection, SD card slot and auxiliary 3.5 mm audio are still there and still active. Perfect if you wish to play MP3’s from your library and then hook up to your car stereo.So how does it perform?.Very well actually, the screen is really bright and clear and the touch matrix is very responsive.All the apps are faithfully displayed and you can choose which map overlay you wish being google or Apple Maps.Audio is great, pair easily and also has the Amazon Alexa app as part of the Amazon music app.Really can’t fault this little unit for a trouble free heads up kit.

Easy to install & has a clear display
This is a brilliant little tool for anyone who uses a bike for work or just for for fun. Not only is it super easy to attach and secure, it’s also the perfect size to sit comfortably on most bikes. The display is bright and clear so you can effortlessly see it and tell what’s on it with just a glance. Navigating it is also a breeze size the display is so clear and responsive. I’ve went for a ride a few times using it in adverse weather (mostly rain but also a little frost) and its not once failed to register my command or distorted the screen or anything, its also anti-glare so I imagine even once summer comes around it’ll still be a joy to use. The icons are also clearly defined and easy to navigate.This has been a huge upgrade to my bike and I would highly recommend it to others. Its a super helpful and convenient addition to any bike, and the stability of it and ease of installation just make it a dream come true.
