    I tried the telescopic ones and they were useless. This, however, is sturdy and well-made and allows me to work while sitting in a garden chair.

    Good fork but weak handle
    Great fork, nice balance. The ash handle is weak and broke after 12 months, close to the head. It was kept dry in the shed and used for light work plating out bedding plants. ordering another as I like it, and will make a new handle over the winter months. But should be stronger. see others comments on this topic.

    What I disliked about buying this item was the length of time it took to be delivered. Spear & Jackson I believe is based in Sheffield, yet the item came from Poland, and took well over a week for delivery. Have the company moved production abroad? The tool itself is strong and well balanced. So overall pleased with the purchase.

    The fork is well made and sturdy. The perfect size to use in beds. The handle is for light use only. The second time I used it the handle broke off just above the metal part. I am a small 71 year old man, it is not like I used excessive force on it. I installed a used handle that I had laying around and its perfect now, I love it.
