    Simple and easy to navigate
Finally – a phone I can give my grandmother that she’ll actually be able to use. The big buttons and simple interface are perfect for her. The SOS feature gives me peace of mind knowing she can easily reach someone in an emergency.

    Ideal for very elderly.
I ordered this on behalf of my wife for her 87 year old mother, who is partially sighted and hard of hearing. Both my wife and her mother are pleased with the phone. It has large buttons and a decent size screen which makes it easy for my mother-in-law to use. It has two speed dial functions, again easy to use. If the buttons are used to dial a number, a voice says each number to confirm the correct key has been pressed. It has an SOS button and when this is pressed it sends a text and calls numbers the user has preset until someone answers. It’s unusual to find a flip-up phone these days and the advantage, in my mother-in-law’s case, is it feels like using a landline hand set.The phone is 2G and accepts any standard size SIM card and the signal reception for the provider we chose is very good. No internet connectivity is available.Voice volume and listening volume is very good.Ringing tones and notification tones are basic and limited but this can be a good thing when you think the target user is a person with limited cognitive and technical ability.Build quality is ok, but everything is is plastic so I suspect it won’t take any abuse. For this reason i have told mother-in-law to always keep the phone in its docking station.Be advised that the supplied items include a USB charging cable BUT NOT a USB charging plug. Luckily I had a spare to hand.

    The phone is easy
The phone satisfies the description and is nice to hold and use, satisfying all the functions and use a senior would expect without the over complex frills of the more sophisticated Smart Phone. For those wanting a nice simple day to day communication with emergency option, this has it all.My only criticism is that of instructions where I feel a senior would be left floundering of How to open the phone to get the battery in and sim card also. This is not described in the manufacturere’s brief booklet and is an obvious basic start. They would need a friend or relation with a PC to get this and start the basics.Amazon could assist here

    Poor Battery Life
I bought 2 of these for my elderly mother16 months ago and although they have worked well BOTH phones no longer hold their charge for more than a few hours. Something to consider when buying these phones that they effectively last 1 year. I’m buying 2 more but I’m not expecting the battery to last.

OK as simple phone but tricky finding out how settings are done
It’s OK but a bit difficult to figure out how everything works

    Confusing and laborious text messaging.
Bought for elderly father but had to return it. Consider myself a competent mobile user but I struggled to compose text message with awkward messaging system, so father would have been so frustrated!
