Great lead, better than expected. Purchased for my 30kg old english bulldog who is VERY excitable and tends to launch herself and at anyone nearby. We walk her through public pathways on farm fields mainly so wanted to keep her under control while having freedom to roam and sniff etc.I had concerns this may not be strong enough for my chonky dog pulling but it has held up very well for a smaller, thin leash. The grip is comfortable with plenty of space, I will often loop a poop bag through the bottom. I have dropped this on concrete a couple of times and the dog has pulled it around and the finish and colour have held up well with minimal scratches or marks.Functionality wise, the 5m leash is a good length. You can lock this off pushing the button or locking it with the slider. When the dog pulls it will auto lock as well which releases when there is some slack – this can be a little tricky to release at times if the dog suddenly pulls again but you get used to it.The entry to the handle where the leash comes in and out doesn’t tangle or roll the strapping – the shape to prevent this works very well. There is a spring loaded metal clip to attach to the dog harness, pretty standard. This has got wet several times now and still functions as expected.We wouldn’t hesitate to buy another for whatever reason.

Retracts quick and easy, button to lock is very easy to use
Love these tug leads, compared to other retractable leads this is superior by far. The button to lock and hold the lead is so easy to use, both to lock and release. The lead retracts so smoothly and easily compared to most others. A decent length to enable recall to be practised before trying off leash. The colour of the lead itself makes it nice and easy to spot too. Fantastic for wheelchair users as my dog can have a little room to get out of my way by going in front or behind the wheelchair when space is too tight for her to stay next to my side. Also works great when I need her to heel to my right rather than my left without the lead getting caught or becoming too tight or too loose. They are also incredibly durable – my last dog had one that lasted well over 5 years, my helpers all say it’s much more comfortable in their hands than others I have had in the past with a nice balanced weight. A little more expensive than some cheap ones but the difference in quality is so great that they are definitely really good value for money.

We had two of these, unfortunately for both the leash part frayed and caused issues with strength/retention.The lead is ergonomically good, comfortable and suitable for short and long walks.It’s easy to retract, the locking mechanism works wellUnfortunately over time the fabric frays and gets caught in the recoil mechanism and renders the lead useless, our pup is 2, and we’ve only used these ‘tug’ leads, we’re going to have to try another brand as confidence in ‘tug’ has slipped despite being #1 on Amazon and seemingly a good buy

Depuis deux ans, j’utilise la laisse flexi et j’en suis pleinement satisfait. Cependant, étant donné que le modèle que je possédais était trop petit, il ne me permettait pas d’insérer l’ensemble de mes doigts en raison de l’épaisseur de mes gants d’hiver. De plus, la corde fine s’emmêlait parfois dans les pattes des autres chiens, risquant de les blesser. C’est pourquoi j’ai décidé de passer à un modèle plus grand avec une corde plus large.À l’ouverture du colis, mon impression a été très positive. La boîte contenant la laisse enrouleur ainsi qu’un mousqueton supplémentaire est élégante. La coque de la laisse respire la qualité, et sa couleur est véritablement noire, contrairement à celle de la flexi, qui, bien qu’annoncée noire, est en réalité marron foncé. Le mousqueton est pratique, et le cordon est solide. Le système permettant de bloquer ou dérouler le cordon est suffisamment spacieux pour être manipulé facilement avec des gros gants, ce qui constitue un véritable atout. Le grip du TUG assure une excellente prise contrairement au flexi qui m’a échappé plusieurs fois des mains.Bien que le poids du modèle plus grand soit légèrement plus élevé que l’équivalent en flexi, je suis extrêmement satisfait de mon achat, tant sur le plan esthétique que pratique. C’est un produit robuste, et en prime, son tarif est plus avantageux que celui de son homologue. Reste à voir comment le mécanisme résistera à une utilisation prolongée, mais cela ne semble pas être un problème étant donné la qualité de fabrication et la solidité apparente du produit.J’ai acheté ce produit en janvier, et depuis septembre, la laisse s’enroule difficilement jusqu’à aujourd’hui, où elle ne s’enroule plus du tout ! Déçu donc de cette marque qui manque cruellement de longévité. En effet, neuf mois me semble un peu court. Je vais donc m’orienter vers une autre marque.
