I purchased this item as I sometimes water my plants at the sink and sometimes the perlite, or whatever substrate, would fall into the garbage disposal section of my sink. These work wonderfully in catching little bits and pieces and in addition to being more cautious I haven’t had any garbage disposal issues. It fits perfectly over my silicone drain catcher, stays in place, and it’s easy to clean or rinse off, or just throw it away and get another one. Definitely would purchase again.
