Does its job well
Admittedly I’ve been forced into buying this both by the amount of spam/phishing calls we receive, and my wife insisting we still need a landline phone (I know, they’re mostly digital now) something I view as a bit pointless. Anyway, out of the box these feel cheap – and they were, thank you Amazon warehouse – very plasticky and light even though they’re big and bulky. They’re relatively easy to set up and most importantly after owning for a few days I haven’t yet received a spam call – almost all calls we receive on the landline are from spammers and con artists and the screen is showing a few missed calls which suggests it’s doing what I bought it for and means I can forgive what it looks/feels like.

So far this phone has been pretty good & on the whole I’m really pleased with it. Easy to set up & use, reception is good. Several different ring tone options & good volume control.Nice big buttons for those who struggle with dexterity.Can take the phone upstairs during the day so I don’t have to keep going up & down the stairs every time it rings, which is super helpful for me/anyone who has mobility issues. Keeps the charge really well.Super handy blocking facility means at last I can just press a button & instantly get rid of the constant nuisance calls & stop them relentlessly calling back . (It was worth buying just for that!).Keeps a record of numbers that have called but have not been answered.I haven’t tried all the functions yet, nor tested the answer phone.The only slight issue I’ve had is that on the 1 call I’ve had to make that’s been over 30 minutes, the phone cuts off & the caller has had to call back. The phone call was over an hour long & so the phone cut off twice. I don’t know why this is. It could be nothing to do with the actual phone & something to do with the line.It would be a very rare occasion that I’d be on the phone for half an hour or more so it’s not a huge problem, but I’d like to solve the problem if I can. If not for that 1 issue, I’d give it 5 stars.I will have to contact BT to see if it’s a problem with the phone. If it’s not the phone I will return & change the mark to 5 stars.
