Weâve tried a fair few scratch mats over the years â angled ones, post ones, ones that looked like tiny sofas (why??) â but this flat mat is the winner by far.Our cat is 14. Sheâs basically a retired diva now. Still glamorous, still grumpy, and absolutely certain that any new item in the house must first be sniffed, ignored, and possibly judged.But this one? She loved it immediately. No dramatic sulking, no suspicious circling â she just walked over, gave it a test scratch, and flopped on it like it was a luxury daybed. Job done.We even do a little routine to encourage her â one of us kneels down and pretends to scratch it (yes, we are those people now), and she just stares like âAre you alright?â before taking over and showing us how itâs really done.Sheâs using it instead of the carpet â which, frankly, deserves a medal. Small – definitely not large
I bought large. Theyâre tiny.Not what I expected at all. I normally get really nice ones but theyâre out of stock so tried these.No good for my cat sadly.Iâll give them to a charity shopUpdate – 29/07/25 – the sellers have been on touch and without being asked offered a full refund. I accepted although I hadnât gone down that route and they effected it very quickly.Excellent customer services. So Iâve upgraded my comments and rating.

Good product
I was a bit sceptical over this, but our kitten loves this scratcher! I put this scratcher by the litter tray, so every time cat goes in and out, he uses the scratcher. He also likes playing with it. Its now a moth since i got it, and it should last for a few more. As for cleaning, hoover does the best job removing wee bits of paper that come off it.

Good but could be better
The boards are great for cats and my kitties took to them straight away BUT they are much smaller than expected so I think theyâre only suitable for kittens. Also, when you buy a single board you get a sachet of catnipâ¦.sadly when you buy a two pack you still only receive a single sachet of catnip. This seems a bit tight as you only get a small amount of catnip to entice your cat onto the board!

I purchased this for my temporary flatmate (looking after my neighbour’s cat for a while). I like that it’s recyclable. It’s made of firm cardboard and feels sturdy but still lightweight. It just arrived and the video was recorded the same day of purchase. At first he didn’t seem to understand what it was for. So I provided a demonstration and facilitated a brief hands on tutorial for him. I think Rodney got the hang of it as you can see. I think the price is suitable. The fish design is cute. Rodney is a bigger cat and it accommodates him well so will see how long it lasts as he likes to scratch every time he comes from outside throughout the day. I took a photo right after his first go to see how much of the cardboard was damaged. His nails are a bit sharp at the moment but there was only minimal evidence of his use (circled in red) so I would guess this would last a reasonable amount of time. Plus it can be flipped over when one side gets demolished as it’s the same on both sides. And he was able to sit on it for a little while which is an added bonus vs the pole versions. I would recommend. And it arrived quickly.

To start, we live in an area of Georgia (USA) that was recently devastated by Hurricane Helene. If you watched the news, so many of us were without power for weeks. Our household and cat rescue was without power for 20 days. This sets the backdrop.Our order of Coching Cat Scratcher had arrived on September 25. We put the scratchers out for our special-needs cat to play with on the 26th. On that night, the hurricane roared through our area with horrific effects.Now, in one room of our house, we have a special needs cat who is vision impaired. She has a cat tree in a window that she enjoys looking out of since we have some solar lights and bird feeders (all purchased from Amazon) out in the yard. She often sleeps in this little cat tree that is in front of the window.On the night of the hurricane, she was not in her tree, but playing on her new scratcher. We heard a crash/thud about 3:00 AM and immediately begun investigating. Upon opening to door to the room, we saw a huge tree that had crushed the wall and window where her cat tree was. Fortunately, our cat was on her new scratcher when the real outside tree crushed her inside cat tree. We immediately grabbed her up and relocated her to a safer area. She is doing well after several days of shock and hiding under the daybed in another room.Ok, yeah, not a review of the cat scratcher itself, but this product saved a life.It is a cat scratcher with catnip. Pretty basic, but our rescues love it. It is enjoyable to watch them having such a grand time. Something so simple can give hours of joy. We have already ordered more since the quality is quite good.

Meine Kater haben das Brett gut angenommen und nutzen es sehr gerne.Der einzige Nachteil ist natürlich, dass dementsprechend auch mal Kartonteilchen durch die Bude fliegen umd die Dknger regelmäÃig ersetzt werden müssen. Aber sie nutzen es manchmal lieber als die Kratzbäume und auch regelmäÃiger. So ist die Verlockung Tapete und Mobilier geringer 😀
