Recently had a log burner fitted and my partner suggested we get a fan to help distribute some heat (i didn’t even know it was a thing)We don’t have much clearance above the log burner itself so i ordered this fan for its smaller size, I also thought that the price was very reasonable. The item arrived next day and was very securely packaged, so secure in fact that i had to be careful pulling the fan out of the packaging. the height of the fan is just a little bit smaller than the length of my hand, and i have comically small hands so it was definitely a good fit for our log burner, as we have about 18cm clearance. The fan itself is quite weighty and sturdy so it feels like its made of quality materials, the black finish also makes it look fab.Confused by the little cables on the rear, i decided to just plonk it on top of the stove and light the fire to see what happens as i had no idea if it was supposed to work on its own or if i had to do something with it. Sure enough the fan started spinning on its own as soon as the log burner started giving off some heat. Amazing!Did it make a difference though? Personally – I didn’t feel a massive difference, when i put my hand in front of it i could definitely feel it blowing warm air, and the little fan spins so fast I’m surprised it hasn’t flown itself to Barbados for a holiday, but overall, the room didn’t feel much different at all, I’d say it does distribute the heat a little bit, but perhaps i’ll need two on each side as the one didn’t seem to make a life changing difference.The log burner gets extremely hot and it warms the living room very well with or without the fan, but seeing as the product does everything it says on the tin I’m giving it a 5 stars anyway, as the product itself is great, and it does what its supposed to. I just feel that chucking one extra log into the fire makes a bigger difference than this poor little fella, perhaps size DOES matter. Or TWO at the same time would be better, (i have a medium sized living room).Its entirely possible that the heat is distributed around the room easier with this little fan but i do think if the fan was removed without me knowing i wouldn’t be able to tell the difference

Minimum working temperature required
Requires minimum temperature to operate. Not suitable for my Stovax wood burner as the top surface doesnât get hot enough. It works a dream on my sons log burner though.

Great little fan
This fan is perfect if you havenât much room from the top of your stove. Very powerful and really makes a difference to the heat in the room as it pushes the warm air from the back of the stove into the room.Came ready to use and is very quiet when on.

Needed a mini fan as the space is too small for a normal one. Bought Oct 23, worked great over winter, really good at spreading heat around the room. You get what you oay for though, got it out Nov 24 and no longer works. Occassionally spins but then just stops, mostly doesn’t spin so now need to look for a new one.

Minhad to buy a small fan for my new wood burner as my old fan was now too tall for the top gap.This little fan is good. It starts up very quickly after lighting the stove and seems to push the hot air into the room.It is pretty quiet too, only a relatively small amount of noise when it is turning quicklyPleased.
