Isn’t it great when you buy a product that works exactly how you would hope? This little shelf is brilliant. A doddle to fit, no drilling, looks great, took about 4 minutes to do. Gets my Alexa off the kitchen worktop and because it is hight, it’s more visible and doesn’t get splashed when the counter is cleaned. I bought two and we’ll buy more for holding phones and the annoying smart meter. It’s metal and really good quality with a non slip surface too. Seriously, get yourself a couple, they’re fab!

One of the best nifty things I’ve bought, love the fact that my google screen is tucked out the way thus giving me that little extra space ok the kitchen side. I would totally recommend this. It’s pretty sturdy, it’s got a little vibration mat so there’s nothing that “rattles” when playing music. Very happy.

East to fit and works with Alexa show gen 3 with ease
After upgrading the the Alexa show 5 gen 3 we found our 3d printed plug stand which relies on the old shape charger to work, now didn’t work as the plug is different. Hardly surprising after all these years.So the search went on to find a similar thing, but that came up a blank. But I did find these handy dandy double socket shelves that looked about right for the task.After making sure the plugs were switched off at the consumer unit the installation took mere minutes. It took longer to hoover all the dust and old plaster I found inside the socket!End result out new Alexa sits happily on this little shelf and now we can unplug it if needed and not have to remove the plug, stand and Alexa to do so.There’s at least 10mm left in front of the shelf so plenty of wiggle room for the Alexa. The cable can wrap around the holes at the rear of the shelf and the top has a rubberised finish so it won’t be skidding off any time soon either.The white finish works great against our white tiles and the white socket too.Overall sturdy, and easy to fit. Just be safe with the power before doing so.
