super useful to ensure clean drinking water on camping trips
So I was looking for something I could use to filter water when out and about in the hot weather I looked at this and some other products but this seemed more convenient to me.Price was reasonable and i unwrapped it and “put it together” and it was small enough to pack on the motorcycle for camping trips when space and capacity is limited. I collect water in a 1 litre bottle and the filter screws directly onto the top of the bottle and i can squeeze the water through the bottle and into my cup or kettle the other side. The whistle removes from the top and you have a nice mouthpiece to drink or pour from.I have tried it with some “dubious looking water” and it has cleaned it every single time and my dogs don’t turn their noses up at it (this was the real test for me as they know what’s safe to drink and what isn’t.I have no idea if it will last for a full 1500l but I figure i’ll use it for one season of camping trips and then just buy a new one for the following year 🙂 I can always try the old one with my dogs to ensure it’s still keeping water filtered and clean.The compass works well but I have never had occasion to use it but it shows north as accurately as my mobile phone :)I have no recommended this to my dog walking and camping buddies: )

Life saver
I used this when travelling to Cuba where bottled water was expensive and hard to source in any large amounts. It saved me a fortune. Pour the tap water, put in fridge and then place straw over bottle and drink. Brilliant bit of kit. My sister laughed when I bought it but she regretted not having bought one when we got to Cuba.

I was looking for something to take with me on a long distance cycling trip to save me the hassle of carrying a lot of water with me and this seemed perfect and in my favorite colour.It is very sturdy and lightweight and perfect for taking outdoors with you to filter water into a bottle or to drink directly from a stream.It comes with a compass and whistle which is very useful for me. When Iâm outdoors itâs useful to know the general direction Iâm traveling without checking the compass app on my phone and the whistle could be handy for safety purposes. There is also a mirror on the inside of the bottom cap which is very useful for me for safety and for outdoor purposes.Water filtered through this device comes out perfectly clean and tastes great so it does everything needed and is exactly what I want for my next long trip. Iâm really happy with my purchase.I am thinking about buying another one as a gift for a cycling buddy and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Good filter, doesn’t take up much room,iv filtered water from a loch and a small stream running down a mountain and never got sick afterwards so it works! Handy for hot days when you can run out or water or to take camping.
