Well made, game changer for weeding
Well made. Excellent for weeding tough roots, husband uses this for the allotment said it a game changer for weeding

    Strong good quality
I have had two different types of these two headed hoes. Both have shown weakness where the blade and three prong fork have been welded to the socket, snapping free from the socket. This hoe is made from a whole forged piece of metal, much stronger and I hope for many years of use from the tool when gardening. There is some who find the handle slippery, this is due to the layer of protective varnish on the wood. You can do as suggested and put tape on the handle, but I always prefer an unvarnished wooden handle. It has a better hand feel and not slippery. Remove the varnish if you wish with first course sandpaper followed by a finer grade to get a finer finish. Then treat the wood from now on with Linseed oil.Gradually the wood will get a wonderful patina of use and have a much better feel for working with.

    Superb.
Well made and sturdy tool. Just the right weight and size for comfortable use. Well pleased.

  4. AT

Exceptional quality but beware of size and weight.
As garden hoes go this may be the ultimate in quality, however we did not even get around to removing the copious amount of protective bubble wrap as my wife was unable to comfortably lift the hoe with one hand due to its weight and physical size.

    Great tool
Best garden tool you can have

  6. Amazon Customer

    It’s wonderful
It does a proper job and very easy to use. Good value for money. It’s amazing

  7. Julia Allen

    Solid n well constructed
Haven’t used it yet but on the outset it is well build and is fairly heavy, so will last. I hate buying those filmy tools that will bend or break the moment you stick it in the soil.

  8. Jo Ilfracombe

    Quality steel
Fantastic quality, handle is perfect length. Even better if you take the slippery varnish off and wrap cord around the handle for a better grip. Cuts through weeds and soil effortlessly

This Hand Cultivator/Hoe is well crafted. Sturdy wood handle is good length (not too short) and a good diameter for my medium sized, *not petite*, woman’s hands. In other words it wasn’t made for jolly green giant hands like a lot of tools are, thank you! yay!!It’s a little more $ than some other “name” brands but a wood handle is important to me—metal handles have that reverberating-up-the-arm impact shock thing so I avoid metal handles. The hoe is sharp! And sturdy; a good width & length. The tines are sharp, wide & squared, not tubular—and work way better in my “soil of many rocks.” The angle that the head is attached to handle (not 90°) is ergonomically awesome! Someone who has actually used one of these must have designed it. The steel wedge that secures the head to handle protrudes a little more than I thought it would, but it means no problem if need to tighten in future. The “finishing” on some edges, etc is very good, though not puurrrrfectly smooth like on some machined tools, but IMO this wasn’t supposed to be a work of art to be admired for its perfection of the tiniest details—they got the crafting right—it is very well made for digging in the dirt. Thank you to craftspeople who made this-it’s a tool I’ve used for a few months and I imagine it will last for many more gardening seasons.

Feels strong and well made. Really tills the soil well and excellent for removing small roots. Much better on the back than a bigger mattock.

This is perfect for those who want a gardening tool capable of light-handed digging or aggressive pick-axe like work.I have a Himalayan blackberry invasion in my yard. I have hired people to to root them out, but pulling us the sprouts never ends -the roots run under the lawn throughout the yard.I have nerve damage in my neck and this well made tool is easy to wield against those stubborn roots. I wouldn’t be able to use a pick but this works as well against these nasty invaders…that yield such delicious fruit. In softer soil (or after breaking the dirt up with the blade) the claw grabs the villainous buggers and brings them to the surface.Your needs may be different but I can’t imagine any tool out there as capable as this one when it comes to breaking up and sifting thru dry flower beds or patches of lawn invaded by weeds…or the curse of those determined blackberries.

for weeding and which is a constant battle. Have broken many a weeding tool and this one shouls last along time.

  13. Mobis

Great tool for the gardening green thumb.Real easy to dig up those pesky weeds and dig a hole to plant your favourites, go grab yourself one, you’ll thank me.
