Excellent rope so far
5 star so far, seems very well made for the cost.I’ve been skipping for ~15 years and mainly used Lonsdale club ropes. The plastic breaks so thought I would try something new. The ‘rope’ is heavier but perfectly smooth now i’ve trimmed it to size (see photos) 1 star down on ‘lightweight’ because, well its not lightweight which some people may not like.I took it to my local gym yesterday and managed 100 double unders in a row which I’ve not done in a while. The rope swings heavier than standard plastic/pvc but very smoothly, weight and feel is excellent.I’ve tried speed ropes and find them too light, leather ropes are slightly too heavy.Ease of use loses 1 star becasuse trimming the rope to size requires good cutters (thankfully it does, it means the rope is strong)I’ll reserve judgement on build qualiy until its been to the gym and used on concrete outside for a while, but it looks like it’ll hold up well.Ordered another my my partner because she was instantly jealous of mine.

Honest review…(and I’m going to be brutal)The rope is too light in my opinion thus not really very good as a speed rope. The steel wire is too stiff and holds it’s shape from being wrapped up. This unless you take the time to stretch it out it’s completely unusable.While it’s easy to adjust the length unless you are careful it can throw off the balance of the rope and even tangle making using it tricky. My advice make sure both side are the same length and wrap a bit of tape around the adjust parts and any loose ends to keep them from tanglingWhile I’ve seen lower quality ropes out there this one isn’t worth the price and you’re better off saving up and buying a better quality rope.This is only my initial opinion on the rope. I’ll probably still use it for the time being until I can find a better one but a the same time I wouldn’t recommend it for any serious training

I’ve been using an old set of speed ropes recently. The wire kept snapping and the handles kept sticking, presumably from sweat in the bearings! Thought I’d get some new ones and these fitted the bill perfectly.Quick delivery and more than adequate packaging.The handles are very light weight and a little small for me on first impressions,I’m 6’4” so not the smallest person.I adjusted the rope to maximum length, very easy to do with a supplied Allan key. Went to the gym to give them a go.First impressions were that these are brilliant!The wire/rope is heavy so skipping fast is very easy.The bearings spin flawlessly and are really smooth.The handles are knurled so give really good grip.I was skipping for around 20 mins, as is with anything new and different I could feel the pull of the heavy weight and speed of the rope on my arms, just have to get used to this.All in all I cannot fault these ropes, they are brilliant!Update to this review. These are great ropes but after less than an hours use one of the bearings started to fail in the handles. They are still working for now but they now feel ‘jerky’. Contacted Amazon who have said all I can do is return for refund, they won’t replace, as I requested, so I’ve now got the hassle of returning them and re-ordering. Needless to say I won’t be re-ordering these as they are rubbish!Why use the cheapest bearing you can get?I’d rather pay a couple of quid more and have premium hard wearing bearings.Don’t waste your money!
