Finish flaking off and can’t undo nuts
This would have been perfect and I can’t find anything else similar so if anyone can advise I’d appreciate it. Firstly, the paint was literally flaking off wherever I touched the metal. I have some black spray paint though so even though I was annoyed at this, I still loved the shape of the shade and wanted to use it.I read various reviews before purchase and people said you just undo all the little nuts and it comes apart so you can get a full size bulb in it. So I duly undid them and can’t for the life of me see how that helps the dome bits come off as mine seem stuck on!? Plus every time I undid one even more flakes of paint came off!I guess its back to searching for another shade, such a shame as I love how this looks in pics with a vintage style bulb.Quality is really bad unfortunately, but wasn’t expecting wonders for a tenner so it is what it is.
