Perfect water Filter
I plan to use this in Cartagena, I know some times the water can be funny and make you ill, depending on the Hotel and if the water is from the Hotel storage or the local water system, I did my home work, and this Filter came out on top, lots of reviews and how to on other platforms so there is no shortage of what it can do, how it cleans, or what is in side the Filter, I am very happy, I wont get ill from the water on my holiday in Cartagena when using this filter on the local tap water, I have tested it and read the instaurations, and it works just as described and seen in the film clip, I wont be climbing hills or mountings or drinking form a river, but a holiday water Filter is just the job, to clean the water form the Hotel tap for drinking or making a cup of tea, and it will last a very long time, I am very happy thank you.

Good for wild camping in remote areas. Make sure your water source is fairly okay to start with
Seems to clear visible detritus from water. Did get sick after drinking from a pretty iffy river. Best used from good quality water sources. I like that it fits on a plastic bottle

Very easy to carry
Clean drinking water is essential to staying healthy. There are times when I may have no alternative but to drink from a still or running water source. This stick is easy to carry and ideal for this purpose.

Lifestraw, filter non potable water for drinking
Camping, hiking, hillwalking, name your outdoor excursion and instead if having to carry, Lug about a backpack full of potable water for drinking or cooking, etc…The LifeStraw has nano filtration technology to filter water from a pond, stream, river, etc and drink immediately. It removes – filters out: dirt, sediment, algae, bacteria, microbes, etc. The water may or may not be crystal clear but it will be potable- safe to drink. It is not reverse osmosis to make salt water fresh… perhaps one day a future version. It will make most fresh water sources potable. This unit being an updated from original version, it has threads in plastic on feeder end to either connect a standard plastic bottle filled with river water when hang from a tree branch or other elevated structures. So choice a thirst quench of water to can filter many litres into another container bag… for larger 10, 20+ litre volumes.Great for self as well as an excellent birthday or crimbo gift.Reusable for several 1000s of litres.

Great idea, lacks practicality
Yeah its OK, I like the fact that i can just suck water directly from a stream or even from stagnant water if I absolutely had to.Its not quite do adaptable to water bottles as is suggested and I would air caution before heading off, some practice might be a good thing….unless the newer versions have improved.Overall a great bit of kit but it wouldn’t be my “go to” everyday solution for big volumes of water.

Used for a recent trip. Love that it is so lightweight, compact and easy to use. Fitted a cheap unknown brand of foldable plastic bottle on the inlet end (could screw in without leaks), to dispense into our water bottles 1-2x per day. Flow rate is acceptable
