Compact and lightweight.
This is absolutely perfect for my bugout bag. I’m sure it would work well for wilderness camping in Scotland as well. This one even has tent pegs unlike most others. Excellent reusable emergency tent. Great value and am very pleased with this purchase. Might get a 2nd specifically for wilderness camping and leave this one in my prepped bugout bag.

These can be used as a prep for staying warm in a power outage. Set up in the house and sleep inside. It will reflect your body heat keeping you warmer. It can also be used as a portable shelter in an emergency,weighing almost nothing and taking up very little space.

So there’s no such thing as perfection when it comes to emergency shelter items. They’re either impossibly small like the space blankets but yet very limited, or they’re pretty bulky like this tent and offer a lot more but again, they’re bulky and a little bit heavy – not something you’re gonna backpack with.Motorcycle bicycle horse, ATV camping absolutely.

I looked at a few of these emergency tents as I like go on day hikes and wanted one for insurance. This was the only one with metal grommets and pegs so you can actually secure it to the ground properly. I image the other ones (which you use stuff to weigh down the corners) would flap around like crazy in a decent breeze.I haven’t used it yet but the mylar looks like it’ll stand up to the job. I’ll get another for my truck.
