I bought these to sync video and audio – they do the job!
I have a channel or two on that video site.Whilst crafting videos, I wanted to be able to record audio from a dedicated microphone attached to a dedicated audio recorder and then to get perfect lip synch with my video recorded on a video camera.I know I should carry a clapperboard around with me, but clapperboards tend to be a bit big and not my ideal solution.These dog clickers give a good, sharp, loud “clap” which allows me to sync audio and video perfectly in Resolve.Simple, cheap, discrete, they fit in a pocket.If you’re a budding video maker, then yes, these do the same audio sync job as a clapperboard.Would buy again, but if I had the budget of Mr. Spielberg then I’d probably buy a clapperboard and pay someone to operate the clapperboard.

Seems a bit loud for cats
Especially, if like me, you intend to train multiple cats, and live in a small property. There is nowhere where the others won’t be able to hear this, which could potentially confuse those I am not working with.However, on the upside, it’s good to get their attention, and although I have never used one yet, my kitten came running immediately on hearing it.I have included a video, but it does not sound nearly as loud and sharp as in reality.The buttons feel sturdy and have a good âclickinessâ and the wrist straps are very useful. There is a clip, so you can attach it elsewhere, too.There are very few dedicated cat clickers on here, but in theory, it is the same as for dogs, although you are less likely to be using it outdoors, so it does not need to overcome ambient noise. There is one from the cat school, which includes a target stick, clicker and booklet, but is very over-priced, IMO. I have also ordered a Trixie pointer with a clicker built in, especially for cats, and another, smaller one, to see if any are less loud.I also wonder if the colour or loudness makes a difference, so that a replacement will not work as well? Not sure, but my thinking is to get them used to several different ones from the start.One thing to note: you cannot use this training for negative reinforcement, so clicking and saying âNOâ, for example. You can only reward good behaviour and I suggest you watch some videos to understand the method, which is really easy. You can reward positive alternatives, so them scratching at their post rather than your sofa, but not discourage them from scratching at the sofa per se.I will try and update this once I’ve tried a few others.

They are so good if you properly and I always make sure that they are used for good things and that way he gets used to the clicker being a good thing, so every time he hears it now he knows heâs gonna get something good.

The key to clicker training with puppies or dogs is consistency, and without the handy wrist strap consistency would be difficult. I love that I can use the strap to attach the clicker to my person, my clothes, or a leash. We have been using these consistently for about a week and they have held up well to being dropped in the snow and thrown around. The sound it loud but not overpowering.
