A worthy rival to the airtag
I was in the market for a new item tracker, and this SmartTag2 caught my eye. The new design is a major improvement over the old model. The larger loop makes it incredibly easy to attach to keys, luggage, or even a pet’s collar. It has a sleek, polished look that feels sturdy and modern, and it doesn’t feel bulky in my pocket.Ease of SetupThe setup process was a breeze. As soon as I took it out of the box and opened the SmartThings app on my Samsung phone, it was instantly detected. The app walked me through a quick, intuitive pairing process, and I was up and running in minutes with my tag named and ready to go.Connectivity & RangeThe connectivity is rock-solid. The Bluetooth LE 5.3 connection holds a great range, and I have no trouble getting it to ring from my phone within my house or even out in the garden. The addition of UWB (on compatible devices) is a huge plus, as it provides incredibly precise directions to the tag when you’re nearby. Â SmartThings Find NetworkThis is the killer feature. If I leave my keys at a coffee shop, the tag uses the anonymous Galaxy Find Network to get a location. Essentially, it pings other Samsung devices that are nearby and updates its location for me on a map. This feature gives me real peace of mind, knowing that even when out of Bluetooth range, I have a great chance of finding my lost item. Â Lost Mode & NFCThe new “Lost Mode” is a brilliant addition. If I lose my tag and someone finds it, they can use their phone’s NFC to get a message from me with my contact information. It’s an anonymous and very effective way to get my belongings back without revealing too much information.Battery LifeThe battery life is seriously impressive. Samsung claims up to 500 days on a single battery, which means I can practically set it and forget it for over a year. The fact that it uses a standard, replaceable CR2032 battery is also a huge plus, so I don’t have to worry about replacing the whole device when the power runs out. Â DurabilityIâm a bit clumsy, so the IP67 dust and water resistance rating is a huge relief. I don’t have to worry about it getting wet in the rain or taking a little splash. It feels tough and well-built, which is exactly what you need in a device you’re going to clip onto your keys or luggage.Speaker VolumeThis is the only reason I’m giving it a four-star rating instead of five. While the speaker is decent, it could be a lot louder. If the tag is buried deep in a bag or under a thick cushion, the ring can be a little tough to hear. It’s not a deal-breaker, as the Compass View feature helps a lot, but a louder alert would be a big improvement.Extra FeaturesI also love the extra features. I can use the physical button on the tag to ring my phone if I misplace it, and I can even use it to trigger a smart home automation. These small features add a lot of value and make the tag so much more than just a tracker.Final ThoughtsFor any Samsung user, this is a must-buy. Itâs an easy-to-use, reliable, and incredibly feature-rich tracker that provides a ton of value and peace of mind. The design is a massive step up, and the long battery life means you can rely on it for a very long time. It’s an excellent product that I would highly recommend.

Great!
Excellent. My favorite use for this is when waiting for my suitcase to come up the carousel I can just sit to the side and keep searching for it. Once it starts to connect i know it will appear shortly out onto the conveyor belt for me to receive it.Helps me find my phone or keys regularly.Installed battery lasted a year and 2 months before it needed to be replaced. (I waited until it completely died before replacing).Hands down a great tracker for the price!

Handy for any samsung user
I originally got 2 free with my phone upgrade (older version) and have since upgraded to these.Battery life is hit and miss, but rather than a warning, i found that 1 randomly stopped working at required a new battery and has been fine since its been swapped. All 4 are used the same amount and all 4 have varied battery levels. The location accuracy is sometimes off. But i suppose that might be because it may not be near another samsung device to update the location. These have been handy and give extra peice of mind to attach to prams, strollers, bags when at busy locations such as theme parks where you need to leave things unattended to go on to 40+ min ride queuesOnly knocking down a star due to the accuracy or delay in syncing the location

Small but Seriously Handy Tracker
Iâve been using this for about five months now, mainly hidden in my car in case it were ever stolen, and Iâm really impressed. The accuracy is excellent, it updates frequently whenever it pings off nearby Samsung devices, so youâre never left wondering where it is. The battery life is also fantastic; after months of use itâs still showing a high level, which is a huge plus compared to other trackers Iâve tried.Size-wise, itâs slightly smaller than a matchbox and very slim, which makes it incredibly versatile. You could pop it on a keyring, attach it to a petâs collar, or tuck it inside a bag without it being noticeable. The âfind meâ feature is especially useful when youâre nearby, it makes a little beep to guide you right to it, and it integrates smoothly with the SmartThings app for extra convenience. For peace of mind, itâs hard to beat. Whether itâs safeguarding your car, keeping track of your keys, or making sure your dog doesnât go on an unplanned adventure, this little tag is a genuinely useful bit of kit.

Great Value, Reduces my time searching for my belongings.
I have these on my eabuds case as my earbuds case doesnt have location tracking like my actual earbuds, and this has helped me many times to find my lost eabuds. The connection process is easy, however be aware that if a standard samsung phone (non plus/ ultra) or a z flip series phone is being used, they lack the Ultra wide band that directs you to the tracker via an arrow, therefore resorting to a loud beep sound to pinpoint the tracker once within a few metres. The tracker also allows me to rest assured that i wont lose my phone on the other hand as a double press makes your phone ping loudly, helps especially if you find yourself losing your phone in your sofa. Finally, the addition if the ring/ hoop in the device makes it really easy to attatch to keys or pet collars etc.For the price is paid >15 GBP, i would definitely recommend buying this as a samsung alternative to the apple air tag.

I did a little test
I keep my bike in a “Cyclehoop” Hangar, so attached this and a competitor’s “Sticker” to it, to see which was more likely to be useful in event of a problem.Throughout the day, my bike was picked up frequently by a passing device – assumedly a Samsung phone. However the competing Tile was lucky to be pinged once in a day.I’m in Central London, not far from Tower Bridge, but my bike was not on a busy street. My only gripe is that, disabling the speaker means cutting through a small internal wire – thus invalidating any warranty. Something I didn’t need to do with the competition.I will recommend this, but not as the only security measure, as anyone can find and remove it with relative ease.

SmartTag2 Galaxy funziona bene, compatto, semplice nel funzionamento. Ottimo prodotto. La posizione rilevata, tramite altri dispositivi Galaxy nelle vicinanze, è molto affidabile e approssimativa.
