Very Comprehensive First Aid/Survival Kit
Survival Kit, Survival Gear First Aid Kit,Waterproof Emergency Medical Kit Earthquake, Outdoor Adventure, Hiking, Hunting,Camping,Gifts for Men WomenWhether you go backpacking, hiking or are just concerned about the current uncertainty in this crazy world, a decent emergency first aid/survival kit is an invaluable item to have. This comprehensive kit comes in a rugged waterproof zip up hard shell carry case that keeps all the contents neat and tidy, but more importantly dry.I won’t go over everything that’s included as it’s all listed within the advert but suffice to say it contains pretty much everything you’d need in an emergency including things you probably didn’t know you needed.Obviously you can add or take away anything you feel isn’t warranted but personally I’d only add things because, well, you never know. The majority of items are well made, of those that aren’t in packages but I’d assume the decent quality extends to bagged and sterile sealed items too. This is a pick up an go emergency kit with everything ready to use if/when needed. Which makes it an odd decision not to include a battery with the torch. Without testing it first you’d have found out too late when it was required. It needs a single AA battery for the record.A useful inclusion is that of a first aid manual which gives lots tips and instructions but the emergency numbers are for the American market where I guess this kit is predominantly aimed at.The price seems to have dropped substantially in the past few weeks and can currently be purchased for a very reasonable £22.19 at the time of this review.Considering the amounts of useful items this kit contains that represents very decent value for money. An essential purchase.

Novel product, not cheap but a fairly big basis to tweak how you need.
I got this partly maybe for my daughter who has an obsession with travelling to far flung places and it seems these days the planet throws up all too often disasters from weather, earthquakes, conflicts and it might be prudent to pack in her suitcase. But also instability can affect anywhere, even the UK is no longer immune to the perils of social breakdown. So I like the idea of having this around. I think Its centred around rural survival in its content, so outback or countryside environments if stranded or having to flee urban danger. Its curious its decorated in a camouflage pattern, it could be argued that an emergency kit should be bright coloured to avoid losing it in chaotic circumstances, but it could also be argued you may not wish to draw yourself attention in something like a conflict zone.It comes in a fairly sturdy hard case, the kit is quite weighty (770g) to be aware of, its not small clip on your belt size, it would take a fair bit of room in a backpack, but it does contain a first aid kit so you won’t need an extra one.Its pretty packed in there, everything is individually wrapped, I don’t want to remove wrappings yet but I suspect there would be more space if you did so. Its a bit mean that there isn’t a battery for the torch at this price. To my mind there are some omissions I would add, a small mirror for getting things out your eye and signalling for help, some saline eye wash vials, some more bandage rolls. Some antiseptic cream, maybe a water filter straw, some kindling wool, a folding water bottle and of course a pen knife. Without the bags and rearranging, you probably could add a few bits more. The current price is £33 although a temporary discount makes it a bit less. Possibly worth considering at lower price. Everyone will have their opinion on the contents and will want to tweak it, depending on your concern being an earthquake in Mexico or a zombie apocalypse in Kent.

basic survival kit with a few issues
This is a fairly well put together survival kit, but it does have a few issues. It comes with everything listed in the advert, but it is all of basic quality, so don’t expect anything more than average from this kit.The case is quite sturdy, so it should be able to sit at the bottom of a pack without the contents getting squashed. The first aid book has some useful information in it, but most of the scenarios tell you to call the emergency services, which, if you had a working phone with signal, you would have probably done before attempting to follow the book’s medical instructions. The rest of the medical kit is all generic stuff, which will probably work well enough, but there’s nothing you can really test beforehand. As for the survival part of the kit, again, it’s all generic and mostly serviceable enough; the knife is sharp, the tent rope is ok, the compass points north, etc. But what they call a mountaineering buckle I wouldn’t trust under full weight, and the torch’s battery chamber is too wide for a AA but too small for a C battery, so it is pretty much unusable without some modifications. The price at the time of review is £20.71 with a 7% discount, usually £22.19, which is a little on the high side for such a basic kit. Also, I hope the grey version of this has much higher quality equipment given the 66% price difference between the two.

Well equipped box. Great for backpacking
I got this for my son who is going on a backpacking trip to Asia with his friends. The items in the box are not top of the range, but they are great quality items that are neatly packaged in a box.The good thing about this box is that it contains a lot of important and emergency items. There are so many things in it that we would never have thought to purchase ourselves. We only realised this after we got the box and realised that we didnât have more than half of the items in it in our list of what to buy.Even if we had managed to buy a lot of them, we probably wouldnât have gone for the lightweight or mini sized items like the ones in the box. Itâs a backpacking trip so the weight and size of his backpack is very important as heâll be carrying it around. We thought the price was a bit on the high side but realised it was actually a great buy when we tried to buy the thing in it individually, including a box. It worked out slightly cheaper and less stressful.
