Good fit, lightweight hood
I need a hood for winter cycling. I bought this to replace another hood that I purchased and promptly returned. Initially I opted for a lesser known brand that had gimmicky slots for insertion of your spectacle arms etc. The previous hood was a few quid cheaper than this one too. I should have really adhered to my philosophy of âyou get what you pay forâ, so on the second time around I opted for Trespass as being a known and trusted brand for outdoor clothing.This hood arrived mounted on a branded cardboard sleeve, neatly presented. Itâs a little thing but itâs reassuring. The other hood arrived basically scrunched into a sandwich bag with Chinese writing on the side.Upon trying it on, the material appears quite thin. This did concern me a little. It fits really well, lots of elasticity and itâs nice and comfortable. I have used it for one ride on a fairly chilly morning and it kept my head warm. There was no ingress of wind and it remained comfortable throughout my ride. It also sits well underneath a cycle helmet. I think that the thin gauge of the material is a factor in its comfort and close fit.Worth the extra £4 I paid over the previous purchase.

I bought this to use under my helmet on the bike in the winter. Itâs actually very comfortable and really good quality. Really easy to machine wash and looks great. Stops the wind hitting my neck. Definitely worth the money

Trespass balaclava.
Trespass balaclava does as it says. It adds an extra layer to help keep you warm. It can be worn underneath a helmet, hat or hood. It isn’t too think or too thin & is quick drying. Good quality material unlike cheaper options. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because the material at the neck could be a little bit longer as to block wind from going down your neck when wearing it underneath a helmet while out riding.

bought these for myself, my wife and my son for a ski trip to Finland in the arctic circle. for most of the weather, even down to -15, it kept off the chill to the face but bear in mind we had many other layers on including thin thermal hoodies so for us we didnt rely solely on this balaclava to keep us warm around the head, mostly to keep the wind from our faces. light enough not to completely steam up the goggles. I’ve used the thick neoprene face masks before and all the heat from the mouth goes straight up to the goggles – nightmare. These were thin enough to allow some of the breath out through the fabric. a slightly thicker fabric would have been ideal but these did the job and did it well for only a few quid each. recommended.

Warm, Comfy & Light
This was perfect for me. Went hiking in some really tough wet & windy conditions & this helped a lot – kept me nice & warm! It was a little squeeze to get on (my head is about 59/60cm) but once it’s on it fits nice & doesn’t move about. My nose is relatively flat but I’d imagine it might be a nuisance if you had a more pointier nose as it sort of puts pressure on your nose a little. Overall pleased with this for £4.99 & will use again.
